PrepCookPriceCheck

PrepCookPriceCheck is the price checker of PrepCook.Pro, a recipe-costing app for kitchens. It identifies itself as:

Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; PrepCookPriceCheck/1.0; +https://prepcook.pro/bot.html)

What it fetches

• Only product pages that a PrepCook user saved for an ingredient they buy. It does not crawl, follow links or index anything.
• Each saved page about once a week, and at most once every six hours when its owner asks for a check.
• Your robots.txt, before any page of your site, cached for up to a day.

It reads the price the page shows for that product. Nothing else from the page is kept.

How to block it

PrepCookPriceCheck follows robots.txt (RFC 9309) on every host it is sent to, including each host a redirect leads to. To block it from your whole site:

User-agent: PrepCookPriceCheck
Disallow: /

Rules for User-agent: * apply to it when no group names it. A robots.txt that answers with a server error, or cannot be reached, is read as "disallow everything".

Pacing

It fetches at most one page from a host every 20 seconds. It honours Crawl-delay, with a floor of 20 seconds and a ceiling of 300 seconds.
